Hamas still committed to violence …

Haaretz reports: “Abbas […] told the Hamas representatives that their participation in the PLO or a united leadership would be made possible only after they – together with Islamic Jihad – would recognize negotiations with Israel as a method of recovering Palestinian lands. Hamas rejected this position.”

Note the use of the word “a” as opposed to “the.” Hamas is not only committed to violence, but rejects peaceful solutions. Yassin and Rantisi were a start, but it looks like there is more work to be done. Perhaps we should start with Hamas members working at the United Nations Relief and Works Agency.
