Reuters AlertNet – Israel shows moving settlements is not so hard
I cannot believe the editorializing in this so-called “news” article, Reuters AlertNet – Israel shows moving settlements is not so hard: “JERUSALEM, Aug 23 (Reuters) – In a few long days, Israeli forces have buried any idea that giving up settlements on land Palestinians want for a state would be impossibly traumatic.”
This is outright advocacy for further Israeli concessions to terror. It tramples on the very real losses to property owners in Gaza and suggests that trampling on the rights of more Israelis should be an easy task. Shame on Reuters.
Republicans Display the Arrogance of Power
This article, Republicans Display the Arrogance of Power is one of the better critiques I have seen of Republicans lately. Of course, it is from David Boaz and the Cato Institute. Their critiques are always well defended and rarely resort to the kind of silly rhetoric you hear from rightist or leftist groups.
Shooter was IDF deserter from W. Bank settlement
Haaretz – Israel News – Shooter was IDF deserter from W. Bank settlement: “Security forces said the shooting was apparently a Jewish terror attack and that the attacker was a newly religious man, an IDF deserter, from the West Bank settlement of Tapuah. ” This is bad news for settlers. They should be fully compensated for their loss in any disengagement, but actions such as this cause resentment against all settlers – not just the Kach terrorists who deserve it.
Of course, my condolences go out to all the victims of terror and their families, including the ones who were killed today by this terrorist.
